Following is a list of limitations that are pertinent to Forester for Cinema 4D version 1.
These issues might be addressed in future versions of Forester.
Original instance masters are not hidden by Forester, and left to renderer heuristics. Some renderers, like Arnold, do hide them.
Forester is not multi-threaded. As a result, the MultiCloner count upper limit is in the range of 1-1.5 million clones
Forester is not cross-platform. When rendering with Team Render, the render farm needs to contain either PC’s or Macs, but not a combination of both. Also opening a c4d file containing Forester elements on another operating system (from Windows to Mac and vice versa) might not always yield the same result.
