The last few weeks I've learned about polygon topology. There are many modeling tutorials on the internet, but almost all of them only show "how to do stuff" and "how to use software" but never "why to do". I did alot of research but didn't really found much of information about basic subdivision modeling and topology. Which is strange for me, because it's somehow essential. But it was enough to develop new skills.
I box-modeled the coffee pot with the newly learned techniques and thought it would be a great example scene to take the new physical render engine that is coming with Cinema 4D R13 for a test drive. I modeled some more things to decorate the scene and set up a nice and warm sunrise lighting. Here is the result.
